FAQ

Q: What does BS/OD stand for?

A: It stands for Binary Souls / Other Dimensions.  While BS/OD doesn't claim a hold on any one genre of music, you can pretty much split them between two entities.  On one side is a style that is more based on electronic music which is where the Binary Souls come from.  The Other Dimensions will consist of just about everything else.

BS/OD has also morphed into a comic as well as video production.  The comic will be mainly about robots, aliens and other odities.  In the near future, my videos will mostly be of the AMV sort but I hope to do more original animation/film work as time goes on.

Q: Who is BS/OD?

A: BS/OD is the solo project of William Chrapcynski.  Everything you see here has been done by me unless otherwise noted. BS/OD is also a web comic.

Q: What other types of music will BS/OD release in future albums?

A: It really depends on what mood comes into play for each song that is written.  While "The System is Down" is quite electronic in nature, there are quite a few different moods that come into play.  Hopefully they'll be more acoustic instruments on the next set of tunes.  I'll never be strict about what genre BS/OD falls under.

Q: What software is used to create your videos?

A: All of my video editing is currently done in iMovie.  While it's a fairly simple tool, it does what I need to acomplish the task at hand.

Q: What software is used to create your comic?

A: To put it simply, I'm not much of an artist when it comes to drawing by hand.  The character modeling and positioning is all done in DAZ 3D.  The rendering and landscaping is done in Bryce and I put the comic together using Comic Life.  Recently, though, I stared using Poser, Carrara and Hexagon.

Q: What software/hardware is used to create your music?

A: I use a lot of different hardware and software to put together my music  It's a combination of Reason and Pro Tools as well as a ton of plugins.  I also have a small pile of guitars and amps at my disposal in my studio.

Q: Why is there music on a comic site?

A: See the next question.  I like to think of this website as an all in one package deal with both the comic and music.

Q: Why is there a comic on a music site?

A: Good question.  These days I feel like people want to have multiple senses stimulated at the same time.  I felt that it would add another dimension to the project.

Q: I want BS/OD to write me a song for me!  What do I do?

A: Use the contact link to the right and let us know what you're looking for.
